Students are represented on the NASW Board of Directors as well as the boards of NASW Chapters.

STUDENT BOARD MEMBER:
(Two-Year Term), one BSW student, one MSW student

Duties

Has the responsibility of representing the interest of student members of the Association. Represents NASW with organizations as assigned. Participates in recruitment activities coordinated with the national office and the local chapters. Participates on Board committees and task forces by appointment. Acts to facilitate communication between student members and the National Board. Attendance at conferences at national and chapter levels addressing student participants is encouraged.

Time Commitment

Attends four Board meetings annually of two to three days duration. Attends annually two to three meetings of assigned national units of two days duration. Represents student members before three to seven chapter meetings annually.
