NASW News began publishing in 1955 and is the official newspaper of the National Association of Social Workers. The News is a primary information vehicle for practitioners, administrators, researchers, faculty, and students, including the association's more than 150,000 members. Its readers also include members of the U.S. Congress, governors, major daily newspapers, international associations of social work, social welfare agencies, libraries, and schools of social work.
Articulate and authoritative, NASW News has won many awards for its quality journalism and scope of coverage. It offers in-depth news and features developments in social work practice, public policy, U.S. legislation and regulations, social research, and NASW programs and events.
The "Marketplace" section features a listing of job openings for social workers, a special conference and workshop segment, and other advertising of interest.
