Clinical Practice with Individuals
Mark A. Mattaini, DSW, ACSW, is an assistant professor at Columbia
University School of Social Work; chair, Walden Fellowship, Inc.; and director, Musher
Seminar Series on Science and Human Behavior, Columbia University, and holds the NASW
Diplomate in Clinical Practice. His current research deals with applications of the
science of behavior to serious social problems including youth violence and child
maltreatment. His previous books include More Than a Thousand Words: Graphics for
Clinical Practice (NASW Press, 1993); The Foundations of Social Work Practice: A
Graduate Text (with Carol H. Meyer) (NASW Press, 1995); and Finding Solutions to
Social Problems: Behavioral Strategies for Change (with Bruce A. Thyer) (American
Psychological Association, 1996). Dr. Mattaini also does clinical and community practice
in New York City. |
