| Lorrie Greenhouse Gardella, JD, MSW, ACSW, is professor and chair
of the Department of Social Work at Saint Joseph College in West Hartford, Connecticut. A
national leader in social work education, she has served as president of the Association
of Baccalaureate Social Work Program Directors and numerous other boards. She has
published in the areas of child welfare, social work history, and social work with
communities and groups. |

Karen S. Haynes, PhD, MSW, is president of California State University-San Marcos.
She previously served as president of the University of HoustonVictoria and as dean
of the University of Houston Graduate School of Social Work. She is secretary/treasurer of
the board of the American Association of State Colleges and Universities and the author of
numerous articles on political social work and three books on leadership and social work. |
