| Challenges of Violence Worldwide focuses on violence
as a global affliction and sustainable human development as a global antidote. Faculty
will use the accompanying curriculum module to develop and teach this important content,
which meets the CSWE accreditation standards for effective education programs that
recognize the interdependence of nations. Using these materials, students will gain a
broad understanding of violence and of social works role in solving problems on a
global scale. The curriculum module was developed with the assistance of six NASW
chapter-based Violence & Development Project Centers and the CSWE International
Commission Curriculum Working Group.
Both guides are excellent resources for use in conjunction with the videotapes Social
Workers and the Challenge of Violence Worldwide.
The Violence & Development Project is a collaboration of NASW, the Council on
Social Work Education, the Benton Foundation, and the U.S. Agency for International
Development. |
