Edward J. Mullen, DSW, is the Willma and Albert Musher Professor, School
of Social Work, Columbia University, and director, Center for the Study of Social Work
Practice. He is director of the National Institute of Mental Health Services Research
Doctoral Program at the School of Social Work, Columbia University. He was formerly
professor, University of Chicago and Fordham University, and director, Institute of Social
Welfare Research, Community Service Society of New York.Jennifer L. Magnabosco,
MA, MPhil, is former director of administration and operations, Center for the
Study of Social Work Practice, and a PhD program candidate in Social Policy Administration
at the School of Social Work, Columbia University. During the past several years, she has
held various management, research, and practice positions in the field of mental health.
