Reform, Research, and Practice

Patricia L. Ewalt, PhD, is dean and professor, School of Social Work, University of Hawaii, Honolulu. She has a master's degree in social work from Simmons College School of Social Work and a PhD in health care policy, research, and administration from the Florence Heller School for Advanced Studies in Social Welfare, Brandeis University, Waltham, Massachusetts. She is the editor of Social Work.

Edith M. Freeman, PhD, ACSW, is professor, University of Kansas School of Social Welfare, Lawrence. She has an MSW from the University of Kansas School of Social Welfare and a PhD from the Departments of Psychology and Human Development and Family Life. She is the editor of Social Work in Education.

Stuart A. Kirk, DSW, is Marjorie Crump Professor of Social Welfare, School of Public Policy and Social Research, University of California, Los Angeles. He has an MSW from the University of Illinois at Urbana and a DSW from the University of California, Berkeley. He was the editor of Social Work Research from 1992 to 1996.

Dennis L. Poole, PhD, is professor of social work and public administration in the School of Social Work, College of Health and Public Affairs, University of Central Florida. He has an MSW with a specialization in community development from West Virginia University and a PhD in social policy, planning, and research from the Florence Heller Graduate School for Advanced Studies in Social Welfare, Brandeis University, Waltham, Massachusetts. He is the editor of Health & Social Work.
